Lloyd L. Steele

Lloyd L. Steele, 76, of Lookout Valley passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at a local hospital with his family by his side.  Lloyd was born February 12, 1945 to the late L.C. and Louise Steele.  He grew up in St. Elmo and was a 1963 graduate of Chattanooga High School.  After his graduation from High School, Lloyd served in the Army Reserves for 12 years.  Before his Brain Aneurism 1983, Lloyd worked in the Steel Industry as a salesman.  The last 15 plus years of his career was at Siskin Steel and Supply.  Lloyd was of the Methodist faith and he was a founding member of the Moose Lodge on Lookout Mountain where he served as an officer of the Lodge.  Lloyd loved his family dearly.  He enjoyed music, fishing, reading, eating, and he was known for his detailed storytelling. 

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Ann Bynum Steele; son, Bart (Lisa) Steele; two daughters, Deidre Steele Pool and Christina L. Steele; special friends, Scott Ables and Ken Meredith; two granddaughters, Morgan (Tyler) Gossett and Madison Steele; two great granddaughters, Charley and Parker Gossett; six siblings, Donnie Steele, Linda Bowen, Peggy (Buford) Genter, Patricia Steinman, Lisa Ridge, and Ricky Steele; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jim Mulkey officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
