Lois Swanson (Lusk), 94, of the Lakeview Community in Rossville, GA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, August 12, 2017. She was a native of Pisgah, AL and had lived most of her life in the Lakeview Community.  She was a self-employed seamstress and was a faithful member of the Lakeview First Baptist Church.  Her passions in life were God, her family, sewing, enjoying her flower garden, crocheting, working word finds and puzzles, and making crafts.       

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Swanson; son, Raymond Swanson; brothers, Tom Smith and Hobson Smith; and sisters, Jessie Sarratt and Verdie Cline.

Survivors include her children, Troy Swanson of Rock Spring, GA and Renese Swanson of Rossville, GA; sisters, Mary Murray, Daisy Johnson, and Magnolia Lacy; eight grandchildren, Tammy Bailey, Steven Swanson, Deanne (Shawn) Corbin, Becky (Andy) Jones, Micah Swanson, Amy (Justin) Lykins, John (Jeanna) Herrin, and Shelly (Ernie) Jones; fifteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 2:00p.m. at Lakeview First Baptist Church.  Visitors are welcome from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the church.

Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday and Monday from 5-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
