Louise Sue Ellis, 87, a life-long resident of the Chattanooga/North Georgia area, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Ellis graduated from Central High School in Chattanooga and later worked for Hamilton National Bank and retired from the State of Tennessee as secretary in the WIC Department. Mrs. Ellis was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star in Chattanooga for several years. She played the Saxophone in the VFW, Tepco and seniors and friends orchestras for 74 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion V. Ellis, parents, Raymond C. and Cordelia R. Benton, grandson, Phillip S. Ellis, sisters, June Coffman, Olive Hartman and Harriet Youngblood.

Survivors include her son, Lewis M. Ellis, niece, Lola Youngblood, several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at East Ridge United Methodist Church at a later date. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
