Mabel Harmon

Mabel Harmon, 95 of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 11th, 2019 in a local healthcare facility.

Mabel was born in Rockwood, TN but spent most of her life in the Chattanooga area. She was of the Baptist faith and was a longtime member of Edgewood Baptist Church where she was a very active member of her women’s Sunday school class. Mabel enjoyed her flowers, drinking coffee on her porch, and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed volunteering her time with the Red Cross and the voting polls.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Warren Harmon, Sr.; parents, Walter and Carrie Watson; one brother, three sisters, and two grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Sandra (Jerry) Zimmerman, Warren (Anne) Harmon, Jr., Linda Trivett, Clyde (Pat) Harmon, Shelia (Garry) Grant; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of NHC Chattanooga and Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, August 13th at 2pm in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Dale Kidd officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Grandchildren and great grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers.
