Mammie E. Dye

Mammie Ethelene Dye, 78 of Chattanooga, TN passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Mammie was born in Chattanooga and lived most of her life in the Chattanooga and north Georgia area. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Glory Road Baptist Church.  Mammie loved to play Bingo, listen to country music, watch criminal justice TV shows, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roy Dye; parents, George and Ruby Massengale; daughter, Joan Carol; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her sons: Richie (Lynn) Dye, Charlie (Kay) Dye, Ronald (Denise) Dye, and Cecil Dye; two brothers, Johnny (Susie) Massengale and Charlie Massengale; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday February 9, 2019 at 2pm in the chapel of Glory Road Baptist Church at 3336 Lakeview Drive Rossville, GA 30741.
