Margaret (Thacker) Pierce

Margaret Thacker Pierce, 84 of Flintstone, GA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 25th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born September 3, 1937 in Rossville, GA and had lived in Flintstone, GA for many years. She was a 1956 graduate of Rossville High School and a longtime member of the Rossville Church of God. Margaret sang in the church choir and prepared many meals for the church. She was famous for her delicious peanut brittle. Margaret had a servant’s heart and was known for her weekly visits to local nursing homes and spending time with people that had no family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Tommy Pierce; parents, Jess and Stella Thacker; sister, Charlotte Higdon; and nephew, Len Higdon.

Survivors include her son, David (Crystal) Pierce; grandchildren: Tyler (Montana) Pierce, Derek (Cala) Pierce; great grandchildren: Grace, Peyton, Erin, Kathryn, and Madison Pierce; sister, Betty Lewis; and niece, Allison Lewis.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 30th, 2021 at 12pm in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Josh Swanson officiating.
