Marie Woodward
Marie Woodward, 78, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Marie was a native of New York and moved to Chattanooga in 1963. She retired in the 1980’s from the Hamilton County School System where she was a Teacher’s Aide at Clifton Hills Elementary School and Howard Elementary School for 10 years. After retiring from the school system, she became a caretaker for her disabled husband for 23 ½ years and for her disabled daughter. Marie had been a member of Rossville Church of the Nazarene serving as Mail Minister for many years and was currently a member of the Chattanooga First Church of the Nazarene. Her passions in life were God, family, teaching, fishing, camping, and enjoying the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Frederick Woodward; father, Frank Carraturo; mother and step-father, Mary and Fred Juliano; sister, Liz Bourassa; brother, Anthony Carraturo; and granddaughter, Shannon Woodward.
Survivors include her son, Frederick Woodward; daughter, Rose Woodward; sisters, Claire Lawrence and Rose Mary Richearson; grandson, Terry Woodward; great grandchildren, Hannah Woodward and Addison Woodward; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00p.m in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Eric Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood East Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
