Martha Sue (Plott) Brown

Martha Sue Brown 76 of Ringgold passed away Wednesday, September 25th, 2019 in her home.

Martha was born in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and lived most of her life in the North Georgia area.  She was a Ringgold High School graduate who went on to earn her certificate as a CNA. Martha worked at Parkridge hospital for many years then went on to work as a Sales Representative for Wilson’s Cleaning Service. She loved flowers and to cook for her family; no one ever left her house hungry. Martha was an upbeat and happy person who never met a stranger. She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Tom Brown; parents, Frank Plott and Bertie Waters LaParry; grandmother, Martha Waters; and son-in-law, Carl Wendell Dyar.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim (Phillip Dyar) Whitworth; grandchildren, Zachary (Kara Murdock) Dyar, Daniel Dyar, Heather Nichole Whitworth, and Lindsey Grace Addison; great grandchildren, Camron Lay, Addilynn LeAnn Goins, Siya Murdock, and Kash Murdock; step-daughter, Tammy (Sheldon) Brown Cash; sister-in-law, Sharon Crowley LaParry; niece, Stephanie LaParry-Pietras; and several other nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, September 30th at 11am at New Liberty Baptist Church, 923 Graysville Rd. Ringgold, GA, with Brother Danny Henson officiating.
