Martha Ellen Martin

Martha Ellen Martin, 79, of Lafayette, GA went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2020 at a local hospital.  Mrs. Martin was a native of Pelham, GA and lived most of her life in the Pelham area.  She was a member of the Ringgold Church of God.  Mrs. Martin loved attending church and praising the Lord.  She was a caring, kind, and loving person that could brighten anyone’s day with her sweet smile and fun loving personality.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol Martin; daughter, Shirley Martin; sister, Dorothy Willis; and three brothers, James Barrett, Joseph Barrett, and Bill Barrett.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Carroll and Catherine Martin of Lafayette, GA; daughter and son-in-law,  Rose Martin-Willis and Gerald Willis of Meigs, GA; three sisters, Bertha Martin of Wachula, FL, Rhodia Frye of Masaryktown, FL, and Pat Mullis of Eastman, GA; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A private burial will be at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

There will be a memorial service held for Mrs. Martin at a later date.
