Martha M. Lawson

Martha M. Lawson, 90 of Ft. Oglethorpe, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday March 23rd, 2019.

Martha was born in Bayreuth, Germany and proudly became a U.S. citizen on May 5, 1960. She was a member of Old Fort Baptist Church and worked at Standard Coosa-Thatcher for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ludwig and Elisabeth Heuberger; husband, Lee Lawson; and brother, Karl Heuberger.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy (Lee) Parker and Shelia (Eddie) Caheely; sisters, Ida Giglio, Siegrid Baranowski, and Doris Gould; grandchildren, Rachelle Lea, Adam Caheely, and Hannah Simmons; great-grandchildren, Cove and Cannon Lea; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Michael Wilson and the staff of Parkside Nursing Home for their love and compassion.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25th at 3pm in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Bill Proctor officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Memorial Gardens.
