Mary Kate Braden, 91, of East Ridge, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 in a local healthcare facility.

Mary was a native of Rainsville, AL and was born on October 3, 1925 to the late John Luther and Jennie Bolden Richey. She has lived most of her life in the Chattanooga area. She retired from Buster Brown where she worked in the knitting department. She loved her family and enjoyed shopping. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wesley Braden, brother, Hugh Richey and sister, Audrey Gunter.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Borden and Kathy Braden, grandson, Hunter Borden, sisters, Birch McCurdy and Vivian Smith, brothers, Kenneth and Bobby Richey.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Lakewood Memory Gardens South with Pastor Karl Abernathy officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Friday, July 14, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
