Mary Dean
Mary Alice Dean, 83, of Rossville passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 at her home. She was a native of Harriman, TN and had live most of her life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. She was a 1954 graduate of Kirkman High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Walker Technical College. Mary and her husband owned and operated Dean’s Bakery in Rossville for 40 years and she worked as an Accountant for TRAC, a non-profit organization in Chattanooga. Mary was a member of the Rossville Seventh Day Adventist Church and her passions in life were crafts, crocheting, playing games on the computer and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jack Lamar Dean, Sr.; sister, Carolyn Harris; and brother, Jack Morgan.
Survivors include her two children, Jack Lamar Dean, Jr. of East Ridge and Alice (Johnny) Bryan of Ft. Oglethorpe; three siblings, Ann McCoy of Ft. Oglethorpe, Donald Morgan of East Ridge, and Mildred Spurgeon of Trenton; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Tony Kimbley officiating.
Interment will be in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary, Rossville.
