Mary Ruth McKaig

Mary R. McKaig, born September 2, 1931, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at her assisted living residence on Signal Mountain TN.

She was a long time member of Parkway Baptist Church in Fort Oglethorpe and was the owner/operator of the Towers Beauty Salon for over 22 years before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde C. McKaig on September 12, 2018 and step-son, David McKaig.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Gutshall of Chattanooga, TN and Stephen Gutshall of Ringgold, GA; step-son Jeff McKaig (Deborah) of Rossville; grandson, Stephen Gutshall of Ringgold GA; granddaughters, Kelly Cauley (Trace) from Austin TX, Mindy Crecellius (David) from Franklin, Kentucky, Laura May (Garry) from Hendersonville, TN and Amber McKaig from Soddy Daisy, TN.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor David Sampson of Parkway Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
