Mary Ruth Scott

Mary Ruth Scott, 96 of Chattanooga, TN passed away after a brief illness Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Mary was born December 18, 1925 in Chattanooga, TN to the late William Thomas and Dora Griffitts. She was a homemaker with a gift for managing her household’s resources and demonstrating the language of love through her cooking and baking abilities. Mary was a devoted member of the Tyner East Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. All who knew of or met Mary knew her love for and faith to Jehovah.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Scott, Sr.; daughter, Carolyn Osbourn; sons, Jeffrey and Eugene L. Scott, Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Pamela (Bryan) Sanders; grandsons: Tony Scott, Donald Scott (Patricia), and Warren Osbourn,; granddaughters: Carey Bramlett (Wes), and Constance Sanders; five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and many special friends.
