Mary Ellen Baker

Mary Ellen Baker, 89 of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 24, 2020 in a local hospital.

Mary Ellen was born in Chattanooga, TN on June 3, 1931 to the late Garnett and Hazel Baker and has been a life-long resident of the Rossville, GA area. She was a 1949 graduate of Rossville High School and later worked with Hensley-Schmidt Engineering in Chattanooga as a data processor. Mary Ellen was a member of the Simpson United Methodist Church in Rossville for over 50 years as well as a member of the Rossville High School Alumni Association.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her sister Anne Laura Baker-Dennis.

Survivors include her friends and caretakers, Bob and Betty Baker, Sharon Lybrand, Wennell Hartline, Brenda Martin, Jo Ann Carter, Gail Middleton, Freelah Simpson, and several cousins.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 28th at 11am in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
