Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Scoggins Ingram, 72 of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
Kathy was born in Trion, GA, graduated from Lakeview High School, and was a member of Hickory Valley Community Church. She studied Business Accounting at Edmonson Junior College and also earned her Cosmetology License. Kathy worked for 20 years in the banking industry with First Tennessee Bank and South Eastern Federal. She also worked in the Bellaroma Beauty Salon, was the Activities Director for East Ridge Senior Association, and was the Office Manager for Dr. Matthew Roberts. Most recently, Kathy taught Kindergarten at Ridgedale Baptist Church. She was always learning and took multiple courses through Dallas Theological Seminary to further her own Bible studies. Kathy enjoyed playing Rook, shopping, watching her family members play ball and listening to her husband sing gospel music. She never missed her sons’ or grandsons’ baseball games and thrived on planning family vacations and gatherings. Kathy was a social butterfly and was known as the “Queen” of organization. She was productive and headstrong, but kind and compassionate.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Billy E. Scoggins and sister, Karen Scoggins Willingham Shipp.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bill Ingram; sons, Gene Ingram (Jennifer James) and John Ingram, daughter-in-law, Stacey Bundy Ingram; grandsons: Preston Montana-Blade Ingram, Marcus Tanner Ingram, and Tyler Cole Ingram; mother, “Teenie” Scoggins; brother, David (Trudy) Scoggins; sister, Ava Paulette (Hank) Jordan; Preston’s mother, Connie Sue Ingram; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 9th, 2021 at 2pm in the Hickory Valley Community Church with Pastor Andy Hutchins officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until the service hour at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
A private burial will be held in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
