Michael Lebron Smith, 46 of Ringgold, GA passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 in a local hospital.
Michael was born in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area. He graduated in the 1994 class of Ringgold High School and attended Global Vision Bible Church in Mt. Juliet, TN. Michael worked with Brinks Security for many years and the TN Valley Railway Museum for the last 8 years. He loved to do anything in the outdoors, was very patriotic, and would help anyone who needed it. Michael had an infectious smile and it was his smile that drew people to him. He was a lovable “goofball” that never met a stranger. Michael’s best friend in this world was his Momma, he’d do anything for her. He would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need and will be most remembered for his giving spirit. His favorite quote was, “Todaydaday” by Pastor Johnny.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hoover and Cat Driggers and Heywood and Geraldine Smith; father and mother-in-law, EJ and Sheila Newsome; aunt and uncle, Dennis and Nancy Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Kelly Smith; children: Christian Smith (Mikaila Burdge) and Michaela Smith; parents, Danny Smith and Wanda Smith; siblings: Robert (April) Smith, Selena Smith, Michelle Pagleno (Bobby Robin), and Richard Pagleno; nieces and nephews: Hailey, Madison, Taylor, Kaylee, Allyssa, Bobby “Bubba” Jr., and Johnathan.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at 11am in the South Crest Chapel with interment to follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
