Michael "Mike" Collins

Michael “Mike” Collins, 57 of Rossville, passed away Thursday, February 18th, 2021 in a local hospital.

Mike was born in Los Angeles, CA, but had lived in the North Georgia area for over 50 years. He graduated in the 1982 class of Chattanooga Valley High School. Mike worked for several of his family’s business over the years including Collins Brothers Service Center, Jiffy Mart, and Lou’s Burger House. He was an outgoing and loving man who liked to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. Mike loved to fish, camp, and especially play basketball.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Louis Collins; niece, Stephanie “Sissy” Collins; and his beloved cat, Fred.

Survivors include his sons: Casey Collins and Tanner Collins; grandchildren: Kylar, Chandler, and Gannon Collins; longtime companion, Patricia “Pat” Vaughn; siblings: Robbie (Beverly) Collins, Randy Collins, and Cathy (Gary) Durham; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at 1pm in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
