Mildred "Vicki" Buckner

Mildred “Vicki” Buckner, 85, of the Highpoint Community of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at her residence in Hixson, Tennessee.

Mrs. Buckner was born in Chattanooga on October 8, 1932 to the late Raymond H. Foster and Tommie A. Pearson. She was a life-long resident of Chattanooga-North Georgia area. She graduated in 1951 from City High School and was retired from American National Bank in Chattanooga with over 20 years of service in customer service. She was a member of Lookout Baptist Church where she served as church clerk for many years. Mrs. Buckner enjoyed working in her yard, attending to her garden and sewing, which included making drapes, clothes and reupholstering furniture. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Reuben Buckner, two sisters, Allene Foster and Cathryne Finnell and one brother, Robert R. Foster.

Survivors include her daughters, Janet (Frank) Davey, Shirla Reed, brother, V. Patrick (Phyllis) Pearson, grandchildren, Laura (Tony) Willingham, Stuart (Elizabeth) Davey and Eric (Erin) Reed, great-grandchildren, Emma Willingham, Garrett Willingham and Benjamin Davey, several nieces, nephews, stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 22, 2018 in the South Crest Chapel with Eric Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
