Mona H. Williams, 91, of Rossville passed away, Sunday, July 7, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Williams was a native of Jackson County Alabama and had lived the majority of her life in Rossville. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years holding different positions throughout the years. Mrs. Williams retired in 1984 from Dupont as Supervisor with over 30 years of service. Her passions in life were her family and grandchildren, who she loved dearly, flower gardening, working with the church, and traveling to the mountains.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Williams; parents, Luther and Elna Hamilton; and six brothers and sisters, Mayme Vaught, Rayford Hamilton, Bettye Bryant, Harold Hamilton, Anita Jo Ray, and Patsy Coalson.
Survivors include her children, Carolyn Guinn of Harrison, TN, Cherie (Lanny) Bailey of Hilton Head, SC, and Michael (Robin) Williams of Rossville, GA; two sisters, Gail Duncan and Peggy Faw; five grandchildren, Jayme (Dennis) Newell, John (Rachel) Bailey, Julie (Ryan) Scoggins, Adam (Jayne) Bailey, and Cameron Williams; four great grandchildren, Blake Newell, Bailey Newell, Caroline Scoggins, and Anna Claire Scoggins; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:30p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Bobby Walston officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12-2p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
