Myra June Wooten

Myra June Hughes Wooten, 79 of Chickamauga, GA passed away Saturday, January 14th, 2023.

Myra was born in Spring City, TN but lived most all of her life in Chickamauga, GA. She attended Liberty Baptist Church and retired after 30 years of service with Mohawk as a Winder. Myra loved to spend time with her grandchildren, great grandson, and her sister, Ann. She was often seen playing on her iPad and will be remembered for her funny, sweet, and kind nature. Myra is hands down “the best grandma ever” and is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Myra was preceded in death by her husband, John Ross Wooten; parents, Isaac Lee and Irene Hughes; and brother, Wayne Hughes.

Survivors include her children: Donna (Mike) Spade, Susan (Jesse) West, and Brian Wooten; grandchildren: Richie (Jennifer) Whitmore, Joseph (Hillary) Whitmore, Maylee Wooten, and Adelie Wooten; great grandson, Axel Whitmore; devoted sister, Ann Fisher; special fur baby, Meki; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023 at 3pm in the South Crest Chapel with Charles McElhaney officiating.
