Norma Don (Beakins) DeRossett - Day

Norma Don DeRossett Day passed away in Sugar Hill, Ga. Monday morning November 14, 2022.  Norma was born in Chattanooga Tennessee. She and her husband, Thomas Allen DeRossett married at the end of WWII and moved to Atlanta, Ga where they raised their 3 children. Norma had a prestigious modeling career most of her adult life.

She was one of Atlanta's top models throughout the 50's, 60's and 70's, owned her own fashion studio and was the Director of Barbizon school of modeling for many years.

Norma was a beautiful, powerful, fashionable and inspiring woman who loved life, her family and her Lord.  Norma was a devout Baptist and a member of Mt Vernon Baptist church most of her life.

Preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas Allen DeRossett and then Lon L. Day. Parents, Leonard H. and Era Deakins, brother Robert Deakins and her son Thomas Allen DeRossett Jr.

Norma is survived by her children, Don DeRossett and Renee' DeRossett; Her grandchildren, Sean DeRossett, Thomas Allen DeRossett III, Trevor DeRossett, Tiffany DeRossett and Tori Ayn Bjerke; Great Grandchildren, Josie, Thomas and Tobi DeRossett, Reese DeRossett, Grace Gillman, Jordan Carney, Piper, Ashton and Logan Bjerke.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 21st at 3:00p.m. at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, TN.
