Omar Evans Swartz, Jr.

Omar Evans “Peanut” Swartz, 68, of Rossville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 surrounded by his family.  He was a resident of Rossville for 44 years and a member of South Rossville Baptist Church.  Peanut was retired from Auto Body after over 50 years of enjoying what he loved.  He loved to watch NASCAR, go to Rod Runs and Car Shows, Camping, and his dog “Doobie”.  He treasured his time with his family and friends especially when the grandchildren and great granddaughter came to visit.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Evans Swartz; parents, Omar and Norma Jean Swartz; and brothers, Robert and Kevin.

Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, Susie; sons, Ronald Baker and Michael (Kelly) Shields; daughter, Kimberly (Steven) Strickland; grandchildren, Savana, Matthew, Miami, and Rilynn; and great granddaughter, Novalee; and brothers, Gary, Sam, and Brian; and many nieces and nephews.
