Otto Kizer Evans, Jr.

Otto Kizer Evans, Jr., 67, of Ft. Oglethorpe passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his residence.  Mr. Evans was a native of Atlanta and had lived in Catoosa County for the past 25 years.  He served in the United States Army National Guard and worked several years at Gizmo Construction and CRD.  He loved his family, working, and smoking cigars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Kizer Evans, Sr. and Lois Evans; brothers, Ray and Horace Evans; and sister, Mary Lou Biddy.

Survivors include his sons, Otto Kizer Evans, III (Christina) and Sonny Evans; brothers, Otto Albert Evans and Johnny Evans; sister, Cathy Spears; eight grandchildren, Jacob Evans, Otto Evans, Gavin Evans, Kaleb Evans, Braiden Evans, Dakota Evans, Johnny Evans, and Ashlyn Webster; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8p.m. and Thursday from 1p.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 833 Chickamauga Avenue Rossville, GA 30741.
