Ovella Stone

Ovella Kilgore Stone “Nanny Poodle”, 91 of Flintstone went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 03, 2019.  She had lived most of her life in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area.  She was a Beautician by trade and enjoyed her time volunteering as a “Grey Lady” at Erlanger Hospital.  She was a member of the Temple of Praise Church formerly Cloud Springs Church of God.  Ovella was a strong spiritual leader and prayer warrior.  She loved God, her family, working in her flower and vegetable gardens, mowing her yard, and spending time with her poodles throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Stone; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her two children, Lamar (Rebecca) Stone and Donna Satterfield; great niece, Ava Rowan; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Chaplain Ron Ingram officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-8p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the service at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
