Peggy Liebe

Almeda “Peggy” Liebe, 90 formerly of Chattanooga, TN passed away Thursday, June 30th, 2022 in Pensacola, FL.

Peggy was born in Chattanooga, TN and raised in the North Georgia area. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and worked for many years as a retail associate and seamstress at the Frances Shop. Peggy raised three boys and thoroughly enjoyed watching them play basketball, baseball, and football all the way through college. She was passionate about her boys and was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Peggy loved to laugh, enjoyed life to its fullest, enjoyed being with people, had an inviting personality, and always made time for her family. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, E.J. “Joe” Liebe; parents, “Bun” and Lula Belle Snyder; brothers, James Vernon Snyder, Jr. and Charles L. Snyder.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Rick & Meghan Liebe, Mike & Deborah Liebe, and Larry “Tooter” & Sharon Liebe; grandchildren: Andy(Amanda), Rickey, & Joey Liebe, Lorie (Ken) Harmon, Tara Benvie, Ryan (Jennifer) Liebe, Christopher (Leanne) Liebe and Lauren Liebe; great-grandchildren: Lukus & Ayden Harmon, Ryleigh Kate Benvie, Ella Grace Liebe, Crew Joseph Liebe, Ava Liebe, and Ace Liebe; brother, Paul Snyder, Sr. and sister, Delores Ellis; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7th at 1pm in the South Crest Chapel with Van Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at St. Jude.org
