Phillip C. Stuart, 67 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 1st, 2019 in a local hospital.
Phillip was born in Wisconsin, but lived for many years in the North Georgia area. He was a teacher by profession and loved his job working in Special Education with the Walker County School System. Phillip had also been a missionary for 15 years in the Caribbean. He was a member of Burning Bush Baptist Church and was very active in the Primetime Choir. He served as Minister of Music in various churches for many years. Phillip helped in the children’s programs at church. In his free time, he bred English Bulldogs. Phillip is loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Grover Stuart; step-father, Ernest Doby; and brother, Steven Stuart.
Survivors include his wife of 42 and a half years, Regina Stuart; four children, Autumn (Sam) Hentz, Jeremy (Angel) Stuart, Aimee (James) Swiger, and Jonathan (Holly) Stuart; seven grandchildren; sister, Patricia (James) Davis; brother, Kenny (Tammy) Stuart; mother, Elaine Doby; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4th at 1:00pm in the Burning Bush Baptist Church with Reverend Pat Davis and John Waldon officiating. A private burial will be held in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00-4:00pm in the South Crest Chapel and will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service Monday at Burning Bush Baptist Church. Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville.
