Raymond Harrington, 82, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2019 at a local hospital. Raymond lived most of his life in the Chattanooga and Rossville area and had been a member of Hilltop Baptist Church. He retired in the 1970’s from Chattanooga Wheelbarrow Company with over 30 years of service. Raymond loved to work on cars and also “piddle” with old bicycles and clocks. There was nothing that he could not fix. He enjoyed going to flea markets, collecting dolls and giving something that he had collected to children. Raymond loved his family, he had a servant’s heart, and was always putting others before himself.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deana Harrington; son, Raymond Dewight Harrington; and five brothers and sisters.
Survivors include five children, Teresa (Phillip) Johnson of Ringgold, Terry Daniels of Rossville, Glenda Harrington of Ringgold, Rockey (Charlene) Harrington of Chatsworth, and Tammy (Rob) Romines of Rossville; step son, Donny and Heather Lynn of Rossville; two brothers, Luther (Charlotte) Howington of Chattanooga and Junior (Cindy) Howington of Chattanooga; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
