Richard “Rick” Brown, 65, of East Ridge went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 19, 2020. Rick grew up in the Fairview Community, was a 1972 graduate of Rossville High School, and attended Canaan Baptist Church. Rick was the owner of RLB Construction and was associated with the Railroad for over 46 years. He was a very dedicated and simple man who valued hard work and respect. Rick was very proud of his work relationships and his many dedicated employees. If you knew Rick you would consider him a philanthropist for all of the charitable donations he has made throughout the years and the way he always helped others. Rick was a ball coach for his sons and his wife. He was an avid TN Vol fan, golfer and bowler and he enjoyed camping and fishing. He loved his family dearly and he loved his dog Mollie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Barbara Brown.
Survivors include his loving wife, Cathy Slatton Brown; children, Tim Brown, Travis (Erika) Brown, and Logan (Kayla) Brown; siblings, Fred (Carolyn) Brown, Pattie (Burl) Mizell, Wiley “Skip” (Denise) Brown, Mark (Kim) Brown, and Roger Brown; many nieces, nephews; and his dedicated employees of RLB Construction.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastors Heath Jones and Joe Gill officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
