Richard McCloud

Richard Thomas McCloud, 70, of Rossville passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family.  Mr. McCloud had lived most of his life in Rossville, was of the Baptist faith, and was a United States Army Veteran.  He worked for Standard Coosa Thatcher for 35 years as a Truck Driver and in his retirement he could be found most mornings at Hardees in Ft. Oglethorpe.  He loved deep sea fishing with his dad, wrestling, and watching westerns.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilborn and Jewell Horton McCloud.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Debra McCloud; children, Lisa (Richard) Aslinger and Richard Jeffrey McCloud, all of Rossville; brother, Crandell McCloud; sister, Cheryl Hill; two grandchildren, Miranda (Brandon) Quinn and Zach (Sky) Autwell; four great granddaughters that he loved with all his heart, Leandra Braziel, Shayla Autwell, Adison Quinn, and Zaylee Autwell; and two nieces.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
