Rick Cooke

Frederick “Rick” Cooke, 73 of Flintstone, GA passed away Wednesday, March 8th, 2023.

Rick was born and raised in the Chattanooga area, graduated from City High School, and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from UTC. He retired after 42 years of service with Chattem, Inc. as a Master Senior Production Scheduler. Rick was an avid golfer, enjoyed doing anything outside, including nature walks with his grandchildren, reading, and cheering on the GA Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. He was a very loving, giving, and caring man who is deeply loved and will be truly missed.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Boyce Lappin and Thorna “Toni” and Frank Cooke; siblings: Deloyce Ann Cooke, Judith “Judy” Ann Nelson, and Jean Hicks.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Mary Cooke; children: Matthew Cooke, Margaret Cooke, William Cooke, Sarah Blevins, Cynthia O’Neal, Will Blevins, Crystal Lingerfelt, and April Lingerfelt; twelve grandchildren; sister, Nora Brown; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and work family members.

Visitation with the family will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4-9pm at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel.
