Robbie Mae Christian, 87, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Mrs. Christian, a native of Calhoun, Georgia, was born on May 14, 1930 to the late Amon and Ola Jackson and has lived most of her life in the Rossville area of North Georgia. She was a member of Newman Springs United Methodist Church in Rossville and a graduate of Kirkman High School in Chattanooga. She retired as a supervisor from J.C. Penny in Chattanooga following 40 years of service.  Her passions in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edison Christian.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley (Larry) Davis, Rockwood, TN and Nancy (Glenn) Britton, Ooltewah, TN, 3 grandsons, Adam (Stephanie) Barnes, Clinton Barnes and Dennis (Julie) Britton and 7 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 4:15 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Lakewood Memory Gardens South with Rev. Adam Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
