Robert “Bob” Walden, 86, of the Boynton Community went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 26, 2019.  Bob was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area where he was a member of the Battlefield Golf Club.  He was a well-known home builder in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area for many years.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, and bird hunting.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Ann Walden; parents, Perry and Vassie Walden; and sister, Vassie Marie Walden Justice.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol (Brian) Metzger, Cindy (Troy) Lea, and Cathy (Jason) Gentry; sister, Teresa (Gary) Howard; companion, Sue Williams, her son and grandchildren; five grandchildren, Mark Brown, Laura Pyle, Landon Metzger, Christen Ellison, Madeline Gentry; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00a.m. in the South Crest Chapel.  

Interment will follow in the Daily Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
