Reverend Ronald Wayne Harris, Sr., 58, formerly of Rossville, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010.  Pastor Harris was the Pastor at The Pointe Ministries in La Plata MD, and was currently living in Hughesville, MD.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Odessa Harris; and nephew, William Wright Harris.

Survivors include his wife which he married on December 17, 1971, Barbara Joan Harris; two sons, Ronald Wayne Harris, Jr. of Davenport, FL and Paul Christian Harris of Hughsville, MD; father and step-mother, Cecil Leroy and Janice Harris of Rossville, GA; brother, Richard William Harris of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Sheila Kay White of Ringgold, GA and Deborah Ann Pugh of McDonough, GA; half brother, B. Gary Harris; and five nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 10a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Harris’ son, Youth Pastor, Paul Christian Harris officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made through PNC bank to the Ronald Wayne Harris, Sr., Memorial Fund or The Pointe Ministries, P.O. Box 1168 La Plata, MD  20646.
Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
