Ronald “Ronnie” Kingsley of East Ridge, TN passed away Sunday, December 29th, 2019 in a local hospital.
Ronnie was born in Chickamauga, GA and raised in Chattanooga Valley. He was a member of the Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church where he sang in the choir for many years. Ronnie graduated in the 1963 class of Chattanooga Valley High School and joined the US Air Force shortly after graduation. He proudly served during Vietnam in the K9 military police unit with his dog, “Sparky”. After returning home Ronnie traveled before settling down in Flintstone and retired after 20 years of service at Yates Bleachery as a Supervisor. He was a fun loving man who loved to watch the Braves and GA Bulldogs, play Rook, and attend any sporting event that his family participated in.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Helen Kingsley; brothers, Adair Kingsley and Willis Kingsley; brothers and sisters-in-law: Fred Bruning, Norma Kingsley, Nancy Kingsley, Curtis Wells, Ricky Santa Maria, and Gerry Kingsley.
Survivors include his siblings: Jean (John) Ransom, Faye Bruning, Ira (Gail) Kingsley, Ray Kingsley, JoAnn Santa Maria, Ruth Wells, and Johnny (Linda) Kingsley; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at 9:30am in the South Crest Chapel. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
