Roy Edward Kindred, 83, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at a local hospital. He was a native of Bridgeport, AL, had lived in Chattanooga most of his life, and he retired in 2002 from Wheland Foundry with over 40 years of service. Mr. Kindred was a United States Navy Veteran. He was an avid Alabama fan, enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, working crossword puzzles, and reading.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Kindred; son, Mark Kindred; brother, Clyde Kindred; and three sisters, Kathleen Bates, Mae Middleton, and Ruby Ward.
Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Morrison; two brothers, Floyd Kindred and Cecil Kindred; two grandchildren, Dylan and Destiny Morrison; one great granddaughter, Paige Morrison; sisters-in-law, Edna McCary and Neva (Doug) Elmore; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 11th at 1:00p.m. at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
