Ruby Nell (Reeves) Summerville

Mrs. Ruby Nell Summerville, 81, of Rossville, GA went to be with her Savior on Friday, December 2, 2022.  Ruby was born in Collinsville, AL in 1941 to the Late Mr. Richard Reeves and Mrs. AZ Anderson Reeves.

Ruby was an avid gardener who loved to make things grow. Ruby worked as a wig technician for cancer patients for over 25 years at The Wig Palace. There Ruby could cultivate confidence in women to fight their heroic battle.  She loved her family and friends and was always there with a smile and a helping hand when needed.  Ruby was very active at the Senior Citizen’s Center and was a beloved “Granny” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Family was so important to her.  Ruby will surely be missed by all those lives she has touched.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years, Leamon Summerville, brother, Richard Reeves and sister, Lucille Pruitt.

She is survived by her daughter, Anita (Gary) Payne, Keith (Tonia) Summerville, grandchildren; Beth Perry, Evan (Meagan) Summerville, Nicole (Ethan) Crum, great grandchildren; Lane Fisher Perry, Eli Crum, and Skylar Summerville, brother, James Reeves, and sister, Mary Watson.  Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive to cherish Ruby’s beautiful memory.

A celebration of Ruby’s life will be conducted in the chapel of Lane Funeral and Crematory Home South Crest Chapel on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at eleven o’clock in the morning with the Rev. Jim Bennett Officiating.  Interment will follow the service in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel on Monday, December 5, 2022 from two o’clock in the afternoon until eight in the evening.
