Sandra Fowler

Sandra Short Fowler 75 of East Ridge, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 8th 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Sandra was born in Childress, TX and lived in several different cities in Texas before settling in Chattanooga with her husband and children. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and loved to serve the Lord. Sandra enjoyed quilting and making ceramics, but most of all she loved taking care of her family. She was a one of a kind, strong woman and will be missed by all who knew her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Lela Mae Short; brothers, Bobby and Jack Short; and step-daughter, Audra Lela Marie.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Jesse Fowler, Jr.; daughters: Tammy Ferrell, Karen (Colin) Hendry, Laura (Steve) Roberson, and Misty (Michael) Orton; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Sandra’s “Angels on Earth,” Marissa and Jeanetta with Amedisys Hospice, Stacy with Memorial Wound Center, Ashleigh, Chelsey, and CJ with the Vascular Institute of Chattanooga, and her cardiologist Dr. Michael Love for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held, Thursday, December 12th at 11:30am in the South Crest Chapel with Pastors Joel Jenkins and Chris Boggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
