Sandra Bryan Milling, 72 of Cohutta, GA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 3rd, 2021 in a local healthcare facility.
Sandra resided in the Mountain View Community of Rossville for most of her life, but moved to the Cohutta family farm after her husband passed away. She was a 1966 graduate of Rossville High School where she played in the school band. Sandra retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Quality Control Supervisor. She loved cooking for her family, she cherished her family, and adored her grandchildren and nephew. Sandra was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir and attended the Avaha Sunday school class, worked as the Sunday School secretary, and worked in the church nursey where she loved rocking the children. She also attended youth trips as a chaperone and worked with the food ministry. Sandra would do just about anything you asked of her and was always willing to help. She volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House and was a member of the Delta Rho Sorority. Sandra’s passions in life were God and her family. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Milling; parents, Thomas and Frances Bryan; brother, Tommy Bryan; and very special uncle, Ham Thornburg.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Rob Chase, son and daughter-in-law, James and Missy Milling; grandson, Matthew Milling; granddaughter, Emily and her husband Cole Robinson; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Ronnie Porter; nephew, Trevor and his wife Kerri Porter; brother and sister in law, Charles and Wanda Milling and extended family, Adrian, Mandy, Robby, Mattie, Greg, Wendy, Laila, Presley, Stella, Chase, Dalton, Colt, Sawyer, and Emma.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at 3pm in the Fairview Baptist Church, 108 Jenkins Rd. Rossville, GA 30741 with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating. Sandra will lie in state from 12pm until the funeral hour.
Burial will be held in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South, Saturday September 11th, 2021 at 1pm.
