Shirley Faye McMillan, 79, of East Ridge, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

Shirley was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 18, 1938 to the late Joseph and Millie Harris. She attended Chattanooga Central High School and retired from Olan Mills in Chattanooga with over 47 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith, attended Temple Baptist Church in Chattanooga for over 20 years, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Marcine Lyons and JoAnn Barnes.

Survivors include her son, Jackson (Jan) Bennett Jr., daughters, Tina Hales and Mashonia Bales, eight grandchildren, Kelly, Kurt and Jake Bennett, Brandon Hales, LeAnn Madison Brady and Conner Bales.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Lakewood Memory Gardens – South with Brother Bob McCoy officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
