Suzuko Yahata Garner

Suzuko Yahata Garner, 81 of Rossville, GA passed away Saturday, January 15th, 2022 in her home.

Suzuko was born in Nagasaki, Japan but spent most all of her life in the United States. She was of the Buddhist faith and retired from Sanyo Corp. after 20 years of service. Suzuko dedicated much of her free time to studying the teachings and philosophies of Buddhism and held study groups in her home. She was a kind, quiet, and sweet woman who will be most remembered for her ever present smile.

Suzuko was preceded in death by her children, Susan Garner and Edward Garner; her parents, and all four of her siblings.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Cam Garner; and many nieces and nephews in the United States and Japan.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022 at 10:30am in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

(The family will meet at the cemetery, there will be no funeral procession.)
