Teresa Kay Skinner Huskey, 66, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
Kay was born in Chattanooga, but lived most of her life in North Georgia. She worked as a twister operator until she retired, always taking pride in her work. She loved fishing, playing bingo, and dancing. She strutted through life with a smile on her face and infectious laugh.
She was the life of the party with her quirky sense of humor and love of practical jokes. Kay is remembered as a true angel. She loved with everything she had, even to a fault. She was everyone’s Mama, no matter who birthed you. She raised a ton of kids and a lot of hell in her life.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her as she touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her unconditional love of all is her legacy.
Kay is survived by sons, Kenny Huskey, Nathan (April) Huskey, Casey Huskey, daughters Wendy (Jason) Kociencki, Haley Huskey, beloved neice, Whitney Williams, sisters, Glenda Bates and Dale Hicks, grandchildren, Robert (Carla) Huskey, Alexis Taylor, Zarek Huskey, Aidric Huskey, Natalyne Huskey, Harmony Carr, Hannah Carr, Logan Carr, and Rose Kociencki, great- grandchildren, Hayden Huskey and Sophia Huskey, and her faithful companions, Izzy and Puppy.
In death, Kay was reunited with her beloved husband, Garland Huskey, sisters, Sharon Rogers and Jean Hodges, grandson, Justin Greene, and the one she has longed for the most, her anchor, her mother Frances Hayes.
