Terry Lee Goodman

Terry Lee Goodman, 66, of Ringgold, went to his heavenly home Monday, June 15, 2020 surrounded by his family.

Terry was born on June 25, 1953 to the late Jesse, Sr. and Frances Goodman and was raised in the North Georgia area. He was retired as a supervisor from Aramark Uniform Service with over 17 years of service and previously worked as a Salesman for Frito Lay.  Terry gave his heart to God at a very young age and was an active member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church.  He was a graduate of the Rossville High School Class of 1972 and a member of the Rossville High School Marching Band.  Terry earned the full respect to receive the 3rd degree Master Mason with the Rossville Lodge 397 F&AM, Volunteer Fireman with Fort Oglethorpe Station 8 for over 25 years.  He enjoyed fishing, an avid “Roll Tide” fan, watching Andy Griffith shows, reading the daily news, listening to classic rock music and enjoyed annual family retreats.  Anyone that knew Terry knew he had much compassion and cherished his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Judy Baker Goodman, daughter, Meagan (David) Goodman-Creamer; son, Gabriel (Aubrey) Goodman; granddaughters, Callie, Julia and Ruby; brothers Jesse, Jr (Libby), Bill (Billie-Sue), Ronnie (Donna), twin brother Garry Goodman; brother-in-law Rick (Lisa) Baker; nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ringgold United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 99, Ringgold, Ga or Alhambra Shrines, 1000 Alhambra Drive, Chattanooga, Tn 37421.

The family wishes to thank the staff of NHC Fort Oglethorpe and Homestead Hospice for their special care.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 20, 2020, from 11:00 am until the time of the “Celebration of Life” for Terry at the Ringgold United Methodist Church, 7484 Nashville Street at 1:00 pm with Reverend Chris Bryant and Gary Knowles officiating.  In Terry’s memory, the family ask you wear Hawaiian shirt or attire.  Due to the health pandemic, social distasting will be observed and masks required (and provided if needed) or you can view a livestream of the service on the church's.
