Thelma “T.J.” McDaniel, 79, Ponce Inlet, Florida, died Friday, May 10, 2019, in Daytona Beach. She was born and raised on Lookout Mountain. Mrs. McDaniel was a resident of Chattanooga Valley, until her retirement 23 years ago moving to Florida. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mrs. McDaniel was a hard worker. She loved God, her family, and her friends. She was known for her kindness, humor and her loving and generous nature. She was preceded in death by loving husband, Lloyd McDaniel.
Survivors are her daughter, Jill (Jeff) Rimmer, Ooltewah, Tenn.; sons, Pat McDaniel, Canton, Ga., Terry (Sharon) McDaniel, Ponce Inlet, Fla.; five grandchildren, Emily (Ben) Daniel, Rock Spring, Ga., Josh Rimmer, Ooltewah, Jason (Heather) Rimmer, Honolulu, Hawaii, Caroline McDaniel and Marshall McDaniel, both of Canton, Ga.; one great-grandchild, Ava Grace Daniel, Rock Spring, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday, May 20, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery with Pastor John Strickland officiating.
