Theresa Scearce

Theresa E. Scearce, 64, of Hixson passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at a local hospital.  Theresa was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a 1973 graduate of City High School.  She was a Home Health Nurse with Guardian Home Health for the past 18 years.  Theresa had a wonderful sense of humor, she never complained and she always put others before herself.  Her passions in life were her family, her dogs, and enjoying the holidays, especially Halloween.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Thelma Steakley; brother, Edward; and sister, Paulette.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Curtis Scearce; son, Travis Watkins; step-daughter, Jessica Scearce; sister, Joy Bishop; three grandchildren, Hailey Koger, George Koger, and Mariah Scearce; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00a.m. in the South Crest Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Rock Spring, GA.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
