Our hearts and thoughts are with you during this time. I have wonderful memories of visiting Papaw and Nana at their beautiful home on Missionary Ridge, at Papaw's office, at Nana's shop, and at Uncle Tom and Aunt Myra's home. He was always so kind and gentle to all of us. Papaw leaves a wonderful legacy of helping so many people throughout his life, both as a doctor and as a person. Sending much Love to him, Nana, Uncle Tom, Aunt Myra, Tommy, Mary, Christy and the rest of the Adkins family~

I worked with Dr. Adkins at Hutcheson until he retired. He was always the sweetest man and soft spoken. In watching his video, I know he was the best Grandpa. I know he will be missed by his family and friends. My condolences to his family. Dr. Adkins was one of a kind.

My sweet friend, Tom,
My heart is hurting knowing I can never talk to you or see you again. God put you in my life for only three short years, but I will always cherish that time spent with yowitI will never forget the things you taught me. Besides educating me on every topic in the books lol, you taught me how to be a better person. The peace I gain in your passing is knowing you're alive and well in Paradise. I can only imagine the reunion you're having with your mother, father, brothers and Phil. I'd say that Phil has joined the angel choir and is singing the loudest! Goodbye for now dear friend until we meet again in Heaven. Jacob and Jacqueline miss you too. We love you.

Dr. Adkins actually delivered me into this world in August of 1964. He was my mother's doctor and then mine as an adult. I will fondly remember him for the very kind man he was. He really did care for his patients. My prayers are with his family at this time.

Uncle Tom was one of the most remarkable people I've ever known. A true source of encouragement and inspiration with a Godly spirit that epitomized a genuine gentleman. His demeanor that helped us all feel loved and appreciated will never be forgotten. I regret that I can't be with all of you at the service...but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all.

Dr. Adkins was a special person in my book. I had dealt with him over the years in a professional status through years at Hutcheson, did some of his office dictation at times on the side, and also through my own family, as he was my grandparents/parents physicians for years. He was the kindest man with such a sweet smile. I know he loved his children very much as he spoke of them often and was so proud of them. This also goes for his loving wife Claudine. He always had time for everyone, no matter what. Heaven is a little sweeter at this moment! Thank you Dr. Adkins for your years of friendship.

I will always remember Dr. Adkins as the sweetest, kindest, most gentle doctor I've ever known. He was not only my mom and dad's doctor, he was also mine and my daughter's and her husband's. He was a special person we will never forget.
