Thomas McCallie

Thomas George McCallie, 83, of Flinstone, GA passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Flinstone, GA and has remained a lifelong resident. Thomas received an Associate’s Degree in Business at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was a choir director at Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church and Flinstone Baptist Church. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved companion Maggie May, gardening, and building computers.

He was preceded in death by his Father, George Wesley McCallie; Mother, Thelma Mae McCallie; and Brother, Bryant Jack “BJ” McCallie.

He is survived by his loving Wife, Juanita; his Sons, DeWayne (Debra) McCallie and Kevin McCallie; his Sisters, Nadine (Lebron) Carden and Mary Nell (Mike) Moore; eight Grandchildren, Wayne (Sarah) McCallie, Drew (Addie) McCallie, Sarah (Savannah) McCallie, Micah Eyman, James (Christian) Sylar, Christina Lewis, Lauren (Ryan) Dickerson, and Aaron (Juan) Dickerson; eighteen Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Thomas Drew McCallie at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Interment will be at Tennessee- Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery following service.

The family will receive friends Monday 5-8 p.m., Tuesday 10-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the South Crest Chapel Lane Funeral Home at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
