Thomas Taylor Sharp Jr.

Mr. Thomas Taylor Sharp, Jr., 96, of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA passed away in his home on Thursday, December 23, 2021.  Thomas was born in Riceville, TN on June 30, 1925 to the late Mr. Thomas Taylor Sharp, SR. and Mrs. Viola Turbyfill Sharpe.

Thomas was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy, Army and finally, the Air Force where he served in Vietnam and retired as a photographer in 1974.  Thomas was an avid reader and loved western novels.  He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Ola Catlett Sharp, and three brothers.

Thomas is survived by three daughters, several grandchildren, and siblings.

A graveside service for Thomas will be conducted at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 2pm.

The family will receive friends at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
