Thomas “Tom” Watson, 81 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Tom worked as a printer for Crystal Springs Print Works for almost 50 years before his retirement and was a member of the Crawfish Springs Masonic Lodge in Chickamauga. He was a true outdoorsman who loved to work on his farm, especially with his cattle, hunt, and fish. Tom is a beloved husband, father, “Paw Paw,” and friend who will truly be missed.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Minnie Watson; siblings: Jessie, Pete, and Rufford Watson, and Clara Sue Madaris; and granddaughter, Hannah Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mildred Watson; daughters: Dedra (Jim) Killcreas and Carla (Gerald) Smith; grandchildren: Doug (Kristen) Wallin and Andy (Sandy) Wallin, Julia (Tyler) Welchel, and Emily Smith; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, February 14th at 3pm in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Hunter Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
