Tommy B. Pierce, age 79, of Flintstone, was called home by our Lord on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly.
Born January 22, 1938, in Chattanooga, TN, he lived in Flintstone, GA with his wife of 63 years and family. Tommy was a long time member of the Rossville Church of God. He began working at the age of 12, when he delivered groceries to elderly people from his bicycle in Chattanooga. He was the owner of P&P Supply in Chickamauga, GA, former Police Chief of Rossville, and retired from the Walker County Sherriff’s Department. He enjoyed working with his horses and playing golf.
Survivors include his wife Margaret Pierce, and son David B. Pierce (Crystal), grandsons Tyler Pierce, Derek Pierce (Cala) and great-granddaughters Gracie Pierce and Kathryn Pierce. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Molly Belle Highfield and Walter Pierce.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with interment to follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
